21 Days of Gifted Witness
A Scripture-Built Prayer Guide for Using Spiritual Gifts to Invite People into Relationship with Jesus
Hello Family, and thank you for opening this book and going on this journey with me. For the next 21 days I want to encourage you to focus time every day to prayer and fasting. We see many examples in scripture of Godly people devoting themselves to these practices to get on the same page with God and find direction. Our aim as a church family is to follow the path that God has already made for us. Many times, that path gets hard to see as we make it foggy with our own sin, doubt, and selfishness, but we have a God full of grace that will clear it back up if we come to Him and ask.
Over the next 21 days I invite you to find 10-15 minutes to read these devotions and spend the day praying about what God lays on your heart, and complete the “Invitation Step” at the end of each devotion. I also invite you to remove something from your daily life (food, internet, tv…) and use that time to pray and ask God for direction and what your role in the church and body of Christ needs to be this year.
At the end of this 21-day journey we will have a “Catalyst Offering” that will jumpstart our giving for the year. The idea is to immerse our church family in a story that is changing lives. We will take up money and give updates all year of how that money is helping people in our community and around the world. We aim to be like the Philippian Church as they gave generously to Paul’s ministry to simply be obedient to the call of God to give. This will not take the place of our current giving structure but is above and beyond our regular giving. Please add this to your prayer time and give as God leads you. We are not looking for a particular dollar amount, but to have 100% participation.
*If you fast from food, please know you can not go 21 days without eating. Please pick a meal or two per day to fast through with prayer. Also make sure you have plenty of water to keep you hydrated.
